Archives - The Front Man

by Glyn Maxwell

Directed by Jon Croker

Friday 30th October 2009 at 8pm in the Auditorium

A one-off performance of this specially commissioned new play, following its appearance this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe. Admission free.

A haunting tale of a young musician and the crime he feels driven to commit, watched by adults who are powerless to intervene.

The performance is dedicated to the memory of the late George Swanson, who was a keen member of the Barn Theatre. His son Danny and grandson Jack wished to honour their father’s wishes by performing the play for people in their local area. Danny says of his father: ‘He was a big fan of the Barn and what it has done for so many of us who went through the youth group and into the profession. It seemed fitting to perform this play in his honour, in the theatre he loved.’

Dark, but with some wonderful moments of humour… thought-provoking and effective production

Strong performances… positively brilliant
