Archives - Red Handed
by John FinnemoreDirected by Harry HardingWednesday 31st May – Saturday 3rd June 2017 at 8pm in the StudioKeep your wits about you, put the kettle on, and prepare yourself...for Henry! Red Handed was the third of six comedy two-handers written by John Finnemore for BBC Radio 4, originally broadcast in 2015. It’s presented in the Barn Theatre Studio as a live performance for the first time ever, with the kind permission of the writer himself. The story follows Joel, who comes home early from work one day to find an unexpected visitor in the shape of Henry. An older gentleman dressed in a suit, Henry is charming, suave, intelligent, well-spoken...and he just happens to be burgling Joel’s house! A clever, funny caper that will challenge your pre-conceptions of burglars. Reviews of John Finnemore's Double Acts (from which Red Handed came from) "Entertaining as always. I love John Finnemore's writing. His humour is intelligent and charming and never fails to entertain. His stories are original, inventive and beguiling" "Funny, intriguing, beautiful and touching. Quite brilliant, heart-warming, hilarious and clever story" "Very good play. Very interesting, slightly off-beat. Clever constructs – a great hours worth of entertainment" "John Finnemore is so clever with language, and people, and office politics. When I wasn't smiling I was laughing out loud" NB: There will also be an optional 10 minute Q&A session after each performance to allow the audience to find out more about the show, its origins and the production process.Tickets Tickets are now available for just £8.
